Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our busy finance department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent time management skills, and a meticulous eye for detail. This role is perfect for someone who is adept at prioritising tasks and has a proactive approach to resolving disputes and maintaining accurate records.
Day to Day of the Role:- Processing and issuing purchase order requests.
- Coding, matching, and processing purchase invoices.
- Ensuring timely authorisation of invoices.
- Conducting regular housekeeping to resolve disputed items.
- Performing statement reconciliations.
- Handling creditor enquiries via telephone and email.
- Completing supplier credit applications.
- Managing company hotel and travel requirements.
- Handling finance department post and email correspondence.
- Undertaking ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.
- At least 2-3 years of finance experience within a similar role in a busy department.
- Strong ability to cope with conflicting demands and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good time management skills and a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to adhering to and promoting company policies, procedures, and processes.
- Excellent telephone manner and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using MS Outlook, Email, and Word applications.
- GCSE passes Grade C or above in Maths & English.
- Experience with Sage Line 50 is desirable but not essential.
