Accounts Assistant

Robert Half are working exclusively with a well established, renowned company in Devizes to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This a challenging and varied role that will be involved with supporting with the month-end management accounts along with a variety of transactional duties. This role will be suitable for someone that is studying ACCA or CIMA or someone that is AAT qualified or qualified by experience, is keen to add value and be a part of a business renowned for offering long-term careers. The salary is between £25,000 - £30,000 plus study support and other benefits.

The Role

The main duties of the Accounts Assistant role will consist of:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts; balance sheet review and P&L.
• Assisting with budgeting process.
• Accruals and prepayments.
• Journal postings.
• Bank reconciliations.
• VAT reconciliations.
• Processing payments; BACs, cheques and cash.
• Preparing cash flow reports.
• Assist with year end process.

Requirements

To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/experience:

• Must have experience within a similar role; exposure to accruals, prepayments and journals.
• ACCA/CIMA studier or AAT qualified/qualified by experience.
• Good attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Highly organised.
• Good team player.
• Confident user of Excel; pivot tables, lookups
