Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant:

• Ownership of the finance inbox.
• Posting banking journals daily across multiple accounts (GBP, USD, Euros & AUD).
• Preparing monthly VAT returns.
• Reviewing purchase invoices on the accounting system (Purchase Order matching, approvals, brand coding and cost allocation).
• Preparation of the weekly supplier pay runs

Other month end duties of the Accounts Assistant:

• Reconciling and prepare monthly banking reports.
• Preparing bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations.
• Preparing monthly aged receivables report.
• Reconciling and posting intercompany transactions.
• Raising commission and recharge invoices.

Key Skills and Experience:

• AAT or equivalent.
• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics would be an advantage or Sage.
• Ideally FMCG experience.
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

The job title Accounts Assistant may also be known as a Finance Assistant.
