Accounts Assistant

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role Finance Assistant for an academy based in Macclesfield.

This opportunity will provide the successful candidate to work in a stable and supportive working environment with scope for development. This is a great all round finance role with a major focus on Finance administration, purchase ledger and sales ledger.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be required to:

• Completing daily and monthly reconciliation of all bank receipts and payments
• Reconciliation and balancing of monthly intersystem payments across accounting systems
  Preparing and posting journals into accounting systems
  
• Preparing and posting journals into accounting systems
• Preparing, posting of payroll journals and maintaining all pay records for our annual audit.
• Manage expense claims for staff.
• Ensure monthly pay variance analysis is completed in a timely manner for the management accountant.
• Data Entry.
• Reconciling supplier accounts on a regular basis and investigating differences.
• Monitor mailboxes and dealing with the finance emails as they arise.
• Supporting the Finance Manager and Head of Payroll with ad hoc duties that may arise.

To be considered for this role we are looking for individuals with the following:
* Previous experience of working within a finance function.
* Strong excel skills.
