  • Job Type: Temporary assignment for 3-6 months- possibility of perm
  • Location: Dorking, parking on site 
  • Working Hours: 25-29 hours (Must work Monday then flexible of the rest of the week- ideally across 5 days)
  • Hourly rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE or £18.84 per hour via an Umbrella company. 
  • Start date 22nd of April 2025

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support the smooth functioning of our accounts department. This role involves handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll time record entry, and assisting in the production of management accounts. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance, we would love to hear from you.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Enter invoices and payments/receipts into ledgers.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Prepare payroll data entry for approval.
  • Manage the transfer of invoice data from MRP system to ledger.
  • Reconcile debtors and creditors accounts.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers of material and services.
  • Prepare bank payments for authorisation.
  • Handle Ad Hoc financial tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience and knowledge of accounting work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with both sales and purchase ledgers.
  • Ability to work accurately and check own work.
  • Experience working in a small team and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work on agreed tasks within a set time frame.
  • Flexibility with covering different tasks.
  • Experience working in a paperless environment.
