Well-regarded international law firm who is recognised for its innovative pro bono work is hiring an Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic and inclusive team.

  • Salary to £36,000
  • Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days remote)

Directly supporting the Accounts Supervisor, working in a Finance team of 8 in the London office.  This role is responsible for ensuring all disbursements and vendor invoices for the international offices are performed accurately and on time and will collaborate with partners, employees, and the accounts team. 

Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Process all disbursements for approval and exporting disbursements on to Aderant once approved
  • Vendor set ups for disbursements
  • Co-coordinating all third party currency invoices to be sent to global exchange and posting into the upload file that returns into Aderant
  • Upload all international office invoices at the end of the month and processing of the cash receipts received in the international office
  • Bank Reconciliations for international offices
  • Processing and paying international office expenses and BYOD payments
  • Daily payment runs to ensure any Not Yet Paid Disbursements included in bills to clients that have been paid are paid out on the day of receipt or day after
  • Sending remittances for Counsel fees paid and requesting VAT receipts from Counsel

Accounts Assistant Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous accounts experience working in a law firm
  • Knowledge or Aderant preferred or another recognised legal accounts package and other Microsoft Software i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Competent in PDF converter / Adobe, including creating and editing PDF documents
