Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Accounts Manager to join their accountancy practice based near Bicester, Oxfordshire. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established company where there will be an expectation of helping to train junior staff. 

The role entails (but is not limited to):

  • Managing a portfolio of accounts, providing advice and conducting meetings as required.
  • Preparing and reviewing periodical Statutory accounts, Corporation Tax, VAT and Personal Tax as well as Management accounts.
  • Preparing for and carrying out audits as required.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Providing training to trainee accountants and junior staff to include reviewing their work and providing support.

A successful candidate will have:

  • ACCA or ACA finalist or qualified.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • At least 3 years’ UK practice experience.
  • A good range of audit experience including the planning and completion of a wide range of tasks.
  • An extensive knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax laws to include technical issues and the ability to update the team on any updates.
  • A good ability to use IT systems such as Sage, Xero, Excel and other accountancy related softwares.
  • The ability to thrive within a smaller, close-knit team.

The salary for this position is dependent on experience, but between £40,000 - £50,000
