Accounts Manager 

Epsom Based 

Hours: 10am - 3pm 

We are working with a leading flooring supplies company in Epsom who are looking for an Accounts / Finance manager to join their friendly team.  This role will be responsible for overseeing the existing accounts / admin assistant who will share workload as necessary.

Duties:

  • Payroll - being brought back in house and Sage Payroll reinstated.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts to present at monthly meeting with directors.
  • Liaising with company accountant as and when necessary, especially at year end.
  • Entering supplier invoices and overseeing weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Setting up new supplier and customer accounts.
  • Credit checking new customers and setting credit limits.
  • Credit control, putting overdue customers on stop and emailing them weekly chase letters, handling small claims court actions if necessary.
  • Daily posting of cash and card receipts and reconciliation of the main bank account.
  • Answering of phone, when necessary, during busy periods.
  • Any other reasonable tasks.

Tasks that this role will take on over time:

  • Explore the greater functionality of Sage through use of their training webinars.  Investigate new payment methods integrated with Sage. 
  • Explore the setting up of a month end procedure

Requirements:

  • AAT Level 4
  • Proficient in Sage accounts. 
  • Able to exercise the utmost discretion as you will be privy to payroll and all company information
  • Experience in a similar role for an SME sized organisation
