Job Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Newton Abbot, Devon

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Manager to join a dynamic team within practice. As an Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing exceptional customer service. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to senior management
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Oversee the accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Resolve customer billing disputes and account inquiries
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients

Experience:

  • At least 1 year recent post qualification experience or qualified by experience
  • The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Accounts preparation experience gained from within a fast-paced accountancy practice environment
  • Proven track record of success in managing a portfolio of client accounts
  • Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Quickbooks or Xero.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
