Job Title: Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: St Albans

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients finance team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approval, and coding.
  • Manage the timely and accurate payment of invoices.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update vendor files and records.
  • Assist with month-end closing processes and provide support for audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment issues and improve processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
