Accounts Payable Lead

I am partnering with a Property company, who are looking to bring on an Accounts Payable Lead into their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for those with 2 to 3 years of experience within an Accounts Payable Lead role, looking to take on more responsibility and grow with a company.

• Salary: Up to £35,000
• Hybrid: ONLY 1 day in the office
• Location: Stockport

What can you expect?

Lead, develop and motivate the Accounts Payable Team to deliver a high-quality service by providing clear direction, regularly reviewing work outputs.

• Supervising up to 7 Accounts Payable Assistants at one time.
• Processing Invoices/credit notes within the terms of agreement.
• Completing Statement Reconciliations ensuring the ledger reflects the Supplier Statement.
• Supervising a high-volume transactional service.
• Providing day to day Leadership, coaching and mentoring of the Accounts Payable Team - motivating and leading the team.
• Looking after BACs, CHAPs, unallocated payments and statement reconciliations.
• Manage invoice processing and payments, resolving issues per policies.
• Ensure accurate records, resolving or escalating issues.
• Adhere to financial controls and support process improvements.

What skills and experience can you bring?

• Good knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process.
• Previous experience carrying out a Senior AP role with direct reports.
• Knowledge of financial controls.
• Understanding of Excel formula's and spreadsheets (Vlookups,Pivot tables and Sumifs).
• Experience using Navision (desirable).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Results focused and an ability to take ownership of tasks.
• Attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines.
