Accounts Payable Manager - Hybrid working!!! 
  • Location: Ipswich
  • Salary: £50,000 per annum + Benefits + Study + 25 days holiday

We are exclusively partnering with a leading facilities management company to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager. This role is based in Ipswich and offers the chance to join a passionate and driven team within a company that delivers innovative, award-winning services and supports local communities.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Oversee the accounts payable functions, including month-end close process, supplier statement reconciliations, invoice processing, and supplier payments.
  • Manage and develop the accounts payable team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with major stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with finance leads to ensure the provision of quality data to support business operations.
  • Implement and improve internal controls, harmonising processes to best practice.
  • Create compliance frameworks and drive best practices within the systems environment.
  • Ensure appropriate training for accounts payable staff and other departments.
  • Produce management information for strategic decision-making.
  • Deliver reports, schedules, and information to stakeholders within tight deadlines.
  • Manage and resolve potential problem accounts.
  • Investigate queries and compile documentation for escalation.
  • Understand working capital position and cash flows, providing monthly narratives.
  • Ensure payment practice reporting framework requirements are met.
  • Complete accurate CIS tax submissions by deadlines.
  • Drive system upgrades and development for accounts payable, ensuring workflows are followed.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience managing a high-volume, multi-location transactional Accounts Payable function.
  • Ability to develop the skill set of team members.
  • Strategic skills with a focus on continual improvement.
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining internal control frameworks.
  • Effective communication with a range of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive and focused attitude when dealing with colleagues.
  • Flexible and positive attitude towards work.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and OCR technology is desirable.
  • Keen to continuously improve personal learning and development.
  • Experience in CIS is desirable.
  • AAT level 4 or comparative finance qualification is desirable.
  • High level of Microsoft Excel competency.
