Location: Watford

Salary: Up to £40,000

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, 5 days per week in the office

The Role:

We are partnering with a multinational retail company who are seeking a dedicated and skilled Accounts Payable Supervisor to join their team in Watford. In this pivotal role you will be dealing with invoices and discrepancies, as well as supporting the AP manager in training and guiding vendor service clerks for all regions.

What you will do:

  • End to end Accounts Payable;
  • Daily review of merchandise, freight and duty discrepancies between vendor invoices and purchase orders/accruals generated from the auto-match system and resolving these discrepancies promptly and ensuring vendor payments are generated correctly and on time.
  • Weekly reconciliation of Duty accruals with HMRC statement.
  • To receive, log and investigate vendor claims by liaising with buyers and/or warehouses
  • Assisting with period-end tasks for all regions, including preparation of allocated journals

About you:

  • Studying towards an accounting qualification, or intend to, in the near future.
  • Ability to deal with high volumes of paperwork and transactions;
  • Good Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups);
  • (Not essential) knowledge of warehouse and buying procedures;
