Accounts Payable Team Leader

Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid working, flexible hours

Location: Ipswich

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum

Reed Accountancy is assisting an established and expanding team in Ipswich with the recruitment of an Accounts Payable Team Leader. This is a full-time, permanent role that offers hybrid working arrangements and attractive benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and Develop Accounts Payable Team:

    • Assist team leaders in driving performance and achieving objectives.
    • Cultivate a culture of compliance and internal control.
    • Collaborate with other team leaders for consistency and efficiency.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable Functions:

    • Handle daily, weekly, and month-end processes.
    • Reconcile supplier statements proactively.
    • Manage end-to-end reconciliation and resolution.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers.
  • Process Improvement and Stakeholder Relations:

    • Implement SLAs and escalation processes.
    • Manage purchase order queries.
    • Build relationships with stakeholders.
    • Enhance internal controls and compliance.
  • Reporting and Problem Resolution:

    • Provide valuable management information.
    • Address potential problem accounts.
    • Investigate and handle queries promptly.
    • Ensure accurate CIS tax submissions.
