The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Receivable Assistant to join our fantastic finance team in Cobham. This role requires a candidate who is well-versed in processing invoices, reconciling statements and handling queries.

The Person

The applicant should ideally have:

  • Solid experience within purchase and sales ledger, billing.
  • Good Excel skills.
  • Be a team player with a collaborative, ‘can do’ attitude, willingness to adapt and desire to learn new tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to delver an excellent customer experience.
  • Knowledge of Xero desirable but not essential.
  • AAT studier/qualified and/or degree in Accountancy & Finance, plus keen to continue studying.
  • A key collaborator with all stakeholders.
  • Values aligned with our philosophy as outlined on our website.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Full responsibility for accounts receivable, including raising sales invoices, resolving queries.
  • Being in control of residents invoicing schedules.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations in collaboration with Accounts Payable Assistant to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Assist with financial audits and liaise with auditors to provide requested information and resolve queries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is captured accurately and on time.
  • Updating and maintaining client details on databases, ensuring data integrity.
  • Collaborating with local councils
  • Be the face of Birchgrove for our residents’ queries.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required.
