Reed Accountancy is delighted to be working with a well-established client in Newcastle in their search for an experienced Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days per week being based in their Newcastle city centre office.

Working in a close-knit team, your duties will include:

•        Input of all income received in real time

•        Ensure that the ledger is maintained and up to date

•        Processing Direct Debit payments and amendments

•        Processing refunds

•        Running reports from system for audit purposes

•        Payment Reconciliation

•        Banking of cheques

•        Working to deadlines for Monthly & Year End Reports to be carried out.      

You will have:

•        Minimum 1 year in a similar role

•        Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel

•        Excellent ability to communicate at all levels both oral and written

•        Excellent time management and organisational skills

•        Strong numeracy and attention to detail

•        Good customer services skills

•        Proactive with previous experience of working independently and as part of team

•        Ability to use own initiative to problem solve, take ownership and work well under pressure

It would be an advantage if you have:

•        AAT or working towards

•        Knowledge of Bank Nominals           

•        Knowledge of Batch Payments
