Accounts Semi Senior - General Practice - North West London

Atomic is delighted to be partnering with an ambitious firm in North West London, looking to recruit a Semi- Senior Accountant (70% Accounts & Taxation, 30% Audit) to join their growing team. The firm, which was established over 50 years ago, assists clients and business owners across numerous sectors. Their approach is friendly and personal, after all, they are also business owners, giving clients first-hand commercial experience

Responsibilities:

• Begin to take ownership of client engagements with support from your managers.
• Support in delivering high quality audit, accounts preparation and corporation tax services.
• Begin to develop enduring client relationships.
• Involved in the completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, either in the office or on site at client premises
• Responsibility for assisting with planning and completion of audit assignments, whilst ensuring audit files have appropriate and?sufficient?documentation
• Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and highlight high level risk areas or matters of concern to the Partner/Manager
• Understand how VAT returns are prepared and be able to review and submit a return
• Help with the preparation of Management Accounts with a view of preparing these monthly or quarterly without assistance.

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent part qualified with two years of experience in accounting and Audit.
• Working knowledge of IFRS/UKGAAP/FR102
• Experience of auditing clients within a variety of industries
• Knowledge of Xero, CCH, QuickBooks, Sage and Dext
