Halmer recruit are currently working with a hugely successful practice based in the heart of Crewe who are looking for an Accounts Senior to join their team due to continued growth. This role would suit a part qualified ACCA (may be fully qualified AAT) professional who is looking to further their career in the industry. They have a hugely supportive working culture with study support and flexible working options.

Job description

  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards from source documents/records to final accounts for review by the appropriate manager.
  • Organise accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements.
  • Prepare VAT returns and tax computations in addition to preparations.
  • Work on a wide range of accounts.
  • Effectively manage time to ensure that jobs are finished within budget.
  • Liaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information.
  • Ensure a high level of service to meet client's expectations.
  • Make timely and relevant recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting and accounting systems in use (including software).

Role requirements

  • ACCA (may be fully qualified AAT)
  • 1 year practice experience
  • Organisational/time management skills.
  • Confident when dealing with clients and getting your views across.
  • Methodical and logical thinking.
