Accounts Semi-Senior

The Role:
To ensure that client accounts and tax information(and related administration work) for which she/he is responsible are produced/undertaken in a cost effective, efficient manner to the standard required by the firm.
All work to be completed, relationships and behaviours upheld in line with Company Practice Code of Conduct and the Fundamental Principles of the Institutes Guide to Professional Ethics
Duties:
Accounts
- Preparation of limited company accounts and partnership and sole trader accounts utilising either manual records or software such as Xero, Quickbooks and Sage.
- Request missing information and resolve simple queries with the client.
Tax
- Prepare tax computations and export to software.
- Prepare Income Tax Returns as requested.
Accounting Solutions
- Manage a portfolio of VAT returns to include bookkeeping and simple management accounts and ensure deadlines are met.
Ad Hoc
- Utilise third party information such as HMRC online and Market IQ.
- Prepare opening balance adjustments and identify any bookkeeping needs.
- Booking-in clients records and requesting missing.
- Filing of company accounts and CT600s.
Business Advisory (On Request)
- Exposure to tasks as identified by Business Advisory and BD team
- Assist with preparation of Cash Flows
Experience:
- Experience working within an Accountancy practice is preferred
- Must have HMRC and Tax legislation experience
Length of Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive
