This growing US law firm based a short walk from Liverpool St has new Accounts Specialist role for its London office to provide billing and financial support for the London and non-US offices. 

40-50k

3 days a week in the office and 2 days remote - Hours are 9.30-5.30

The Accounts Specialist will report into the Finance Supervisor, working with another member of the Finance team, with a dotted line into their US headquarters. This is a broad billing, AP and cashier role and ideally requires a Legal Biller who is flexible to handle various day to day transactional tasks as well billing, preferably with Elite 3E experience and strong up to date knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).

Accounts Specialist duties;

  • Preparing client bills for London and international as directed by Partners / PAs, ensuring VAT and SAR requirements have been carried out
  • Entering invoices in Chrome, ensuring compliance with local regulations and firm policies
  • Liaising with suppliers, updating key information and resolving queries
  • Reconciling London office credit card statement
  • Allocating funds received into office and client account for bill payments
  • Issue transfers between office and client account to ensure compliance with SARs
  • Monitor SAR breaches and report to Accounts Supervisor and Compliance team

Accounts Specialist requirements;

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a busy legal accounts department, issuing complex bills via Elite 3e (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Chrome River
  • Strong academics
  • Flexible approach
  • Strong knowledge of SAR is essential
