My client is a comprehensive building services company that offer a wide range of expert services, aimed at supporting the construction and maintenance of buildings across their entire life cycle. Established over 20 years ago, they now having over 20 offices around the UK. They provide services from the pre-construction phase, right through to construction and occupancy. They are one of the number one choices for developers and contractors, being renowned for their expertise in Acoustics, air tightness, and sustainability assessments.

The role:

As an Acoustic Consultant, you will be providing solutions to mitigate problems with noise and vibration, according to Building Regulations. This remote role is largely report writing driven. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high quality acoustic consultancy services to a diverse range of projects. It is essential that the candidate is based in the Southeast or the Midlands to complete some site visits.

Role responsibilities:

• Design and implement Acoustic solutions for various environmental, including educational and healthcare.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Provide consultancy in architectural and engineering acoustics at both strategic and detailed level.
• Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and advancements in acoustic technologies.
• Liaise with clients, providing expert advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior members of the team.

The ideal candidate:

• Between 2-5 years' experience as an Acoustic Consultant.
• Degree in Acoustics or Physics. Engineering degrees may be considered if relevant modules are included.
• Proficiency in using acoustic modelling software and noise measurement equipment.
• Be a member of the Institute of Acoustics, is preferred.
• Ability to write accurate reports.
