Here at Kirklees Homeless Service (known locally at Clare House), we are a 24/7 service supporting our 22 customers who were homeless, to successfully move into permanent accommodation. If that wasn’t enough you will also continue Peer mentor support once they have moved on. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. You’ll design and deliver an engaging calendar of wellbeing activities, social events, outings and of course having lots of fun!
You’ll be promoting a culture of engagement, social inclusion and wellbeing, supporting our customers to live meaningful and happy lives.
You’ll have the opportunity to define your own role (you’re not stepping into anyone’s shoes), so you’ll be able to use your creative spark to deliver activities for our customers with their input.
Your events will ensure that there is always something going on to engage customers, supporting their wellbeing, independence as well as keeping active.
You’ll be working alongside partner organisations, volunteers and our colleagues to deliver high quality personalised retirement to our customers, developing bespoke care plans and shaping our wider community offer.

You bring
You’ll have a creative spark and passion to really make a difference to customers’ lives.
You’ll have experience of working in a similar service achieving positive outcomes through support activities and intervention.
