Job Title: Adhoc Teaching Assistant

Location: Norwich

Contract Type: Adhoc

We are currently seeking an Adhoc Supply Teaching Assistant to provide support to our team in Sudbury on a flexible, temporary basis. As an Adhoc Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to students
  • Implement individual education plans for students
  • Use a variety of strategies to engage and motivate students
  • Assist in monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals, including social workers and therapists
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with their emotional and mental health needs
  • Attend regular training and development sessions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a SEMH or PRU setting
  • A good understanding of behavior management strategies and approaches to working with challenging behavior
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly on an adhoc basis
  • Dedication to supporting high-quality education for students with SEMH needs
