Full Time Permanent Role

Our client a professional membership body based in Southwest London is seeking a Administration Officer to join their team.

The Role as Administration Officer

The Administration Officer is a new role reporting to the Head of Business Services. The postholder will provide administrative support to enable us to effectively manage all of our membership activities. This will include keeping our membership data up to date and responding to enquiries from both prospective and existing members, and commercial associates. The postholder will also contribute to ensuring a positive membership experience throughout the member life cycle (supporting prospects, onboarding of new members, management of existing members). The postholder will support the production of data and insight so we better understand what our members think, as well as being involved in the integration of a new CRM system.

Essential skills

Practical experience supporting memberships within a professional body or membership association or an equivalent professional experience e.g. customer services that gives you the confidence that you could deliver what we need.

Support the implementation of a new CRM system, becoming a super user and helping the rest of the team to use the system effectively and consistently.

Manage the process for prospective members responding quickly to new expressions of interest and working closely with the rest of the team to arrange introductory meetings etc.

Make changes to website including updating the events page and information on for members.

Manage the membership mailbox.

Make changes to database of member contacts.

Make changes to Mailchimp including supporting the monthly Mailchimp cleanse.

Support the annual gap analysis of member information.

Support a smooth annual retention and invoicing process.

Support the Regulation team, as required with Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland Membership.

Desirable attributes

Experience of working in a professional membership organisation/charity.

Experience of producing reports

Educated to degree level.

Experience of a CRM system.

Membership marketing experience, with a focus on member recruitment and retention strategies or equivalent.
