About us

Protective Care Group was established to provide bespoke and tailor-made support for young people with severe, complex needs, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviour. We specialise in providing a level of support that local authorities are often unable to; support that makes a real difference to somebody's quality of life and future prospects.

About the role:

We are growing rapidly across the UK. We've grown to over 100 members of staff in around a year and are aiming to reach 250-300 in the next 12 months. We've been busy putting structure and process in place to enable further rapid scalability. Due to this growth, we are now looking for an Administrator to provide support to our teams at Head Office in a full-time, office-based role.

As an Administrator with PCG, you play an integral part in ensuring our Finance, Procurement and Business Support teams are operating in a timely and efficient manner. You'll need to be able to think on your feet and be very proactive.

Your role will involve many varied tasks and there is scope to expand the role going forwards.

Key Responsibilities:

You'll be responsible for providing support across Finance, Procurement and Business Support as well as other general administrative duties including, but not limited to:

Finance

  • Assisting with elements of payroll, holidays and sickness
  • Submitting invoices
  • Checking, photocopying and uploading invoices
  • Processing purchase requests and ordering supplies
  • Communicate with support teams

Procurement

  • Contact Local Authorities regarding procurement terms/contracts
  • Searching for new contract opportunities
  • Contacting current contacts/mailshots to potential Local Authorities to market PCG support services
  • Updating and maintaining data in the CRM system

Business Support

  • Setting up IT equipment and liaising with external IT supplier
  • Assisting with various additional ad hoc tasks

Other

  • Property searches
  • Sourcing furniture
  • Setting up housing utilities

Requirements

We are a friendly, fun, dynamic, agile and very busy team. We are proactive in ensuring we get things done when we say we will. We provide essential support to the teams out in the field, so it's necessary that we act smartly and efficiently.

You'll be comfortable working as part of a team but also be able to confidently work independently. The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise is important.

Experience in Administration is essential but any experience in Finance Administration is desirable. You will need to be confident, have strong attention to detail and as we are a new business, things will change from time to time, so you'll need to be able to adapt and cope with change.

You will need to be IT literate and having experience working with systems, such as Xero, would be very beneficial. Communication is absolutely key, especially when you are involved with multiple teams in multiple locations across the business.
