Our client provides international transport and customs services to enable companies to move their goods around the world. They help their customers to gain a competitive advantage by delivering their goods on time, on budget and in great condition.

Due to unprecedented growth, they are now looking to recruit an Administrator to join the team at their Grantham Head Office.

The Job:

This role involves the analysis, preparation, and processing of customs declarations through their HMRC software system. Customs declarations must meet strict UK guidelines and time constraints to facilitate the flow of goods exported and imported from and to the UK. The successful candidate must be self-disciplined and work effectively as part of a team, with a strong ethic to support and help to achieve team objectives as well as individual role objectives. Full comprehensive in-house training will be provided.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Obtain and analyse different types of data on documents received.
  • Preparation of Excel Spreadsheets to collate and reconcile data.
  • Accurately completing customs declarations on HMRC software.
  • Ensuring that the organisation is customs compliant, completed documentation is correct and reporting non-compliance issues.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the efficiency of procedures.
  • Assisting colleagues with customer service requirements and anything else deemed necessary for the effective day-to-day running of the business.

Key skills required for this role are:

  • Must love the challenge of analysing data.
  • Amazing attention to detail.
  • Whiz at Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot would be an advantage.
  • Self-disciplined and able to work on your own.
  • People person, who can clearly communicate, verbally and in writing.
  • Pleasant and confident telephone manner.
  • Proven ability to manage time, work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • GCE A Level, or equivalent qualifications, ideally in business studies, finance, communication, mathematics, statistics, or a modern European language.
