Job Type: Full-time, Onsite  
Location: Breightmet, Bolton  
Hourly rate: £13.46 per hour  
Length of role: Initial 2 months, potential for extension

We are seeking a proactive and diligent Information Governance Assistant to join our team. This role requires a strong administrator with common sense and the ability to learn quickly. The ideal candidate will be an efficient typist and note-taker.

Day to Day of the role:

- Act as the first point of contact for information governance, handling internal and external enquiries with efficiency and effectiveness.  

- Formulate routine responses and acknowledgements to correspondence and customer queries, ensuring follow-up actions meet corporate standards.  

- Develop and maintain case management systems for information and data access requests, ensuring key documents and management information are accessible.  

- Plan, coordinate, and organise appointments, meetings, events, and presentations for the Information Governance Team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Understanding of information governance legislation including Freedom of Information, Data Protection Act, and other relevant regulations.  

- Proficient in a range of ICT, including Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.  

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.  

- Ability to deal with distressed and irate members of the public in a responsive, sympathetic, and tactful manner.
