Salary:

Fully Qualified: £44,579 - £50,706 (dependent on experience)

Newly Qualified: £40,911 (after successful completion of the 12 month preceptorship, you will progress to the bottom of Level 4 Zone 1)

Location: 5 Pancras Square N1C 4AG with remote working arrangements available

Contract Type: x3 Permanent and x1 Fixed Term/Secondment – 18 months

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be part of our efforts to make a positive and meaningful impact in the lives of Camden residents.

What You’ll Be Doing

We are looking for Occupational Therapists who are keen, enthusiastic and passionate about social care. Professionals who have the drive and determination to work beyond existing boundaries and traditional support solutions.

This is a dynamic role, which puts the person at the heart of service delivery, providing excellent occupational therapy interventions, which promote independence, choice and control.

You will be expected to provide OT interventions including but not exclusively; educative techniques, equipment, adaptations, moving & handling intervention, and telecare.

You will have the opportunity to join our experienced friendly integrated services, compromising of a large network of professionals, and to work collaboratively and collectively with wider networks.  

You will manage a varied workload and respond appropriately and promptly to the needs of Camden residents.

You will be expected to adopt a receptive, listening approach and to prioritise and expedite any associated tasks and responsibilities in the best interests of our residents and their careers.

You must have a thorough understanding of relevant current legislation, including the Care Act 2014, and how it applies to our legislative duties.

This is a challenging role that requires the ability to work under pressure as an individual and as part of a team. You will be supported by colleagues and managers as part of a unified service response.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

All About You

This role requires you to be a qualified Occupational Therapist and must be registered with HCPC England. Also, to be successful in this role you must be willing to show a commitment to undertake post qualifying courses when relevant.

Camden welcomes newly qualified applicants, as we have a comprehensive OT preceptorship program to support you. Your starting salary would be at Level 3 Zone 2 in your preceptorship year.
