Adults Social Worker

Social Worker | Mental Health Team | Liverpool City Council

We are looking for a Social Worker with current Social Work experience to join a busy Mental Health Social Work team.

You will be required to:

• Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision.
• Attend and represent the department at a range of multi-disciplinary forums and undertaking the role of chair as required.
• Undertake direct work with service users, carers and families in line with inter-agency safeguarding adults’ policy and procedures
• Make appropriate assessment and act as care navigator for the individuals presenting with eligible social care needs
• Work jointly with Social Care Assessors by identifying appropriate tasks or areas of work in agreement with team leader or community’s manager.
• Undertake capacity and best interests’ assessments.
• Lead safeguarding enquiries ensuring completion within timescales and outcomes recorded and shared with relevant parties.

To be considered, you must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in Social Work, Social Work Degree or equivalent) as well as at least 3 years post qualified experience working as a Qualified Social Worker within a similar team.

£500 bonus if you refer a suitable candidate.
