Role Profile
  • In this role, you'll be joining our Azure Engineering team within Cloud Productivity & Engineering (CPE) as a AI Platform Engineer (Azure). This team focuses on building, developing, and supporting our Azure cloud platforms to accelerate the time-to-market of innovative finance products. In collaboration with Microsoft, we aim to transform how LSEG uses the cloud platform.
  • Work alongside architects, developers, and other engineers to ensure efficient Azure AI services are designed and consumed aligned to LSEG advanced Enterprise Scale Landing Zone.
  • Defining and implementing measures and dashboards that accurately quantify the value of improvements.
Tech Profile/Crucial Skills
  • Hands on experience in designing, developing, and implementing Azure AI and Data service solutions.
  • Can demonstrate deep knowledge in the consumption of Azure Enterprise Scale Landing Zones to build enterprise grade AI solutions to meet all customer demands and requirements.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud native components.
  • Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies and CI/CD principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, Jira and Gitlab.
  • Ability to communicate optimally with internal customers, team members, and management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Hands on experience with Azure AI services and data modelling techniques.
  • Experience with one of the following.
    • Python/Go/R
    • ML Ops
  • Proactive incident management with Azure-based problem solving.
  • Sound understanding of financial markets.
  • Adept at collaborating in complementary teams, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Previous roles involving AI Platform Engineering, Azure development, and/or DevOps processes.
Education and Professional Skills
  • Relevant Professional qualifications, such as;
    • Azure AI Engineer Associate
    • Azure Data Scientist Associate
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM degree.
Detailed Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with AI & data scientists to design sophisticated AI models using first party products and platforms.
  • Partner with first party product and platform teams to build key capabilities that can be used to create AI Skills, Plugins and Copilot experiences.
  • Optimize AI model performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI Platforms, Products and Libraries.
  • Ramp up on the latest deep learning model architectures/algorithms, Open AI enhancements and large language models (LLM) directions.
  • Develop and maintain data acquisition pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
  • Implement metadata - driven orchestration pipelines to ensure scalability and flexibility.
  • Develop sophisticated transformation logic in Azure Databricks and other data Azure Data services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines for performance and reliability.
  • Implement best practices for data quality, security, and compliance.
  • To ensure knowledge articles of all supported systems are continually updated.
  • To provide a high level of customer service, whilst working under pressure.
