Our client offers a high-quality complete building services across a diverse range of sectors. The services that they provide consist of Rail Maintenance, Educational Facilities Management, Healthcare Construction, Civic Building, Church Building and Facilities Management.

Due to company growth, our client is looking to bring an Air Conditioning Engineer in to join their highly experienced and qualified team. The Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for carrying out PPM, Remedial and Reactive works, alongside completing worksheets and occasionally installing Air Conditioning systems.

What's in it for you?

  • 8 am - 5:30 pm - Monday to Friday (Additional hours may be required as well as occasional weekend work and responding to call outs when required).
  • Salary - £37,000 - £42,000.
  • Overtime rates - Hourly rate x1.5 17:30 - 07:30 Monday - Friday and Saturday 08:00 - 14:00 and x2 Sat 14.00- Monday 07:30.
  • Opportunity to earn up to or more than £50,000 due to amazing overtime rates.
  • Vehicle and fuel card provided.
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Auto enrol pension (5% employee 3% employer).
  • Occasional social events throughout the year.

Air Conditioning Engineer - Position Overview

  • Carry out PPM, Remedial and Reactive works, and complete worksheets.
  • Provide solutions to faults and diagnosed issues you will find.
  • Occasionally install AC systems.
  • Ensure all assigned jobs are completed within the contract SLA, working with the reporting system - GTR Asset Pro live.
  • Make recommendations regarding condition of plant and submit Life Expired reports if necessary.
  • Participate in the callout rota every 4 weeks to cover all reactive faults Monday to Friday 1730 until 0830 and all weekend from Friday 1730 to 0830 Monday Morning.
  • Occasionally attend training and Health and Safety courses.

Air Conditioning Engineer - Position Requirements

  • City and Guilds NVQ level 2 Air conditioning and refrigeration - F-Gas Cat 1.
  • Knowledge/experience of AC manufacturers including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy, Toshiba, Fujitsu.
  • Familiar with SFG20 the industry standard for AC maintenance.
  • PTS qualified (desirable but not essential).
  • Full UK drivers' licence.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office.
