Airfreight Export Clerk

Global Freight Forwarder is now ready to recruit an Airfreight Export Operator to join their highly motivated team. Stand out operationally, ready to go the extra mile for their customers; fantastic opportunity and one of a kind!

Overall involved/responsible for:

• To complete airfreight exports from start to finish.
• Arrange shipments as per customer instructions following customer SOP.
• Ensure freight quotations are issued in a timely manner, assist in benchmarking and where applicable rate negotiations.
• Excellent liaison with agents, airlines, hauliers and 3rd party logistic providers.
• Complete the MAWB’s-IATA, B2B and consolidations.
• Pre alert the customer and network.
• Complete custom entries in accordance to compliance of HMRC.
• Dealing with queries and problem solving
• Updating Customers with the status of their shipments.
• Operational finance, costing and invoicing.
• Arranging airfreight imports as and when required.

Requirements & additional info:

• Proven track record of Airfreight Exports -minimum 1 year.
• Air import customs knowledge advantageous.
• Excellent ICT skills to include Microsoft packages.
• Use of Cargowise would be a great advantage.
• Flexible, adaptive approach and team player.
• Customer focused at all times.
• Attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm and good self-motivation.
