St Thomas More Catholic School Alternative Provision Intervention Practitioner - 37.00 hours per week,
NJC SCP 17-22 (£28,770 - £31,364pa) term time onlyActual Salary £24,855 - £27,096 pa
An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an Alternative Provision Intervention Practitioner. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a diverse range of activities in support of students who may require differing approaches of intervention to secure their academic progress and levels of attainment, but also to encourage their emotional well-being, positive sense of self, and sustained encouragement in wider school life.
The successful appointee should possess:

  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills including GCSE Maths and English Grade C equivalent.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with relevant experience
  • A proven track record of building positive and appropriate working relationships with both students and colleagues.
  • Experience of working with students with specific/ individual needs.
  • Ability to accurately record relevant academic, pastoral and Safeguarding detail.
  • A 'can do' attitude and ability to communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Good subject knowledge of core (English, Maths, Science and RE) and non-core subject areas.
