Amazon Lead - Media Agency - £75,000 - £80,000

The Company

Globally renowned Network Agency - to work on one of our most prestigious clients, a major player in the consumer healthcare industry, where we lead Amazon retail media in key markets.

WFH: 3 days per week in office, 6 weeks per year work from anywhere in the world policy

The Role:
This key Client Partnership role is responsible for managing our largest Retail Media assignment in Europe, with a primary focus on Amazon. By effectively managing the Amazon Media business, we aim to expand our Retail Media scope to additional Amazon markets and other European retail media platforms and partners, with a focus on Europe and the Americas.

The role reports to the Digital Commerce lead with a dotted line to our Global Commerce Media Lead. It involves close collaboration with local market retail media teams across Europe and the Americas to deliver outstanding Amazon media campaigns and identify innovation and growth opportunities to solidify our position as the client's global retail media agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with existing clients and agency teams responsible for Amazon retail and media through key markets, becoming a trusted advisor on all commerce and retail media topics.
  • Manage activation teams (based offshore or in local markets) to deliver Amazon campaigns excellently, leveraging our network and Amazon best practices.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for local clients and agency teams, offering access to a central reporting dashboard with live performance data and providing insights, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Assist the Global Commerce Lead in communications with all clients, including filling in reporting templates and writing strategy documents
  • Integrate paid and organic retail media strategies using our dataset to drive top-line and bottom-line growth.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with our global Amazon team, understanding the platform and opportunities for partnership and innovation.
  • Ensure our Amazon and Retail Media strategies are reflected in all elements of our work, providing a consistent and holistic approach globally and across all channels. This includes regular in-person meetings with the client and local agency teams in core markets.
  • Take full ownership of strategy and goals across all markets, providing insights for campaign wrap-ups.
  • Manage financial processes end-to-end, ensuring all plans, bookings, and campaigns are executed accurately and to the highest standard.

You:

  • Hands-on experience activating Search & DSP on Amazon with full Amazon accreditation.
  • Working knowledge of AMC and leveraging clean room datasets for effective, future-proof strategies.
  • High attention to detail with an understanding of optimization levers across the Amazon ecosystem.
  • Background in various commerce aspects, including e-commerce, marketplace strategies, paid/biddable media, and related fields.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Amazon's vendor and seller models, with a proven history of developing and executing successful strategies for clients.
  • Profound understanding of retail business factors such as profit margins, inventory management, forecasting, and demand planning.
  • In-depth knowledge of the interplay between various media channels and the role of retail media within the broader landscape.
  • Knowledge of fulfillment and operational requirements for successful selling.
  • Aptitude for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners, preferably with experience working alongside agencies and stakeholders in a global network.
  • Outstanding project management skills with the ability to oversee projects involving multiple teams and functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, enabling clear and concise presentation of complex concepts.
  • Experience managing key senior stakeholders through communications and regular meetings.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to work with data and campaign reports and provide analysis.
  • Good PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills (email, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Line management experience and working with multiple teams.

Success Criteria:

  • Expansion of the Amazon media business across key markets.
  • Establish our team as a centre of excellence for Amazon knowledge for the client.
  • Assist in growing the business through best-in-class activations and proprietary tools.
  • Expansion of our remit into other retail channels.
