The opportunity

With the continuing and rapid development of tax technology solutions and in particular Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, it is necessary to enhance our operational models to achieve success in the future. In preparation for the future, EY Tax and Law have created a new Centre of Excellence" (CoE) to support SaaS solutions throughout their lifecycle.

The objectives of the SaaS CoE are twofold:

  • Operational management of Tax and Law SaaS solutions
  • Sales enablement and support to drive the market success of these solutions
The SaaS CoE currently supports Tax and Lax solutions Global VAT Reporting Tool (GVRT), Global Tax E-invoicing Solution (GTES), Mandatory Disclosure Regime (MDR) Web, EY GloBE Engine (Pillar II/BEPS) and Data Permissions Navigator (DPN), and this number of solutions is expected to grow rapidly.

In joining the SaaS CoE you will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of this new business unit, becoming deeply embedded in the operational management of the SaaS CoE and thus ensuring the smooth running of the technology solutions that it supports.

We are looking for a Tax or Law professional to join the content team within the SaaS CoE, dedicated to achieving success in the continued development of the content management processes across all solutions, including assessing opportunities to further develop the knowledge sourced via our solutions.

Your key responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Working closely with the global Content Lead to proactively assess how changes in the local legislation and administrative updates could impact the central product configurations, and ensure the execution of an appropriate content management process
  • Authoring process documentation to explain how content updates are monitored, documented and addressed with the product leads.
  • Support the resolution of incoming content related tickets and incidents from the support desk
  • Working with local tax and law specialists and the content team to ensure that content configuration for each country remains up to date and compliant with local requirements, including gathering local country approvals where necessary
  • Support the development of knowledge tools, for internal and external use, e.g., on global e-invoicing developments.
Skills and attributes for success

We are looking for people with excellent communication abilities with relevant experience from monitoring and/or maintaining global tax and law regulatory updates and experience or minimum an interest in technology, preferably SaaS solutions.

To qualify for the role you must have
  • Experience from tax and/or legal research or the monitoring of regulatory updates, including the ability to condens large volumes of information to key findings
  • Strong analytical skills and capable of independently resolving issues
  • Communicates successfully with both technical and non-technical audiences in both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and colleagues from a range of disciplines and backgrounds, in a professional and collaborative way
  • Experience from a global context, such as cross-jurisdictional collaboration to ensure the accuracy of local tax / law requirements, including documentation and local country approvals where appropriate
Ideally, you'll also have
  • Experience working in a professional services environment
  • Familiarity with the Agile methodology or other product development methodologies
  • Good technology proficiency (Excel, automation, BI, etc.)
  • Experience with tax and law SaaS Solutions
