Job Purpose

AML Counterparty Management, as part of the ICE Futures Europe (IFEU) Market Regulation department, is responsible for ensuring that the Exchanges and Clearing Houses it supports have appropriate AML/CTF policies, procedures and processes in place to comply with their regulatory obligations.

The Analyst, Market Regulation role will be responsible for undertaking customer due diligence and periodic reviews on Exchange and Clearing Members. The Analyst will be required to review and assess Member firms' AML systems and controls to ensure they comply with applicable rules and regulations. The Analyst will join a dynamic team, working closely with key stakeholders and will be exposed to unique AML risk scenarios.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting KYC/AML tasks including but not limited to CDD/EDD for new membership applications, periodic reviews and trigger events in accordance with Policies and Procedures;
  • Attend and lead engagements with senior stakeholders at new and existing Member firms, such as high frequency traders, brokerages, investment banks and proprietary trading firms, to assess their AML systems and controls;
  • Review and resolve automated alerts relating to PEPs, adverse media and sanctions;
  • Assist stakeholders with related KYC/AML on-boarding processes;
  • Contribute to the production of key metrics/management information;
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes including ad-hoc project work;
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments that impact ICE and its customers;
  • Manage personal workloads to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Knowledge and Experience
  • Educated to degree level (ICA or equivalent professional qualification desirable);
  • Previous experience in financial crime or compliance related function, preferably capital markets (2 years minimum);
  • Knowledge of UK, EU and other anti-money laundering regulations including MiFID and JMLSG;
  • Excellent communication skills including report and the ability to apply independent thought and analysis;
  • Proven ability in identifying problems and working efficiently to resolve; works well under pressure and to deadlines;
  • Strong team player, also able to work independently and take ownership of tasks;
  • Strong organisational skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Keen aptitude for research and an interest in business and current affairs are essential;
  • Experience or interest in data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau or Sigma.
