Walker Cole International is searching for an Analytical Chemist to join an exciting pharmaceutical company based in Norfolk. As the Analytical Chemist, you will assist the team in developing, validating, and implementing test methods for their products.

Key Responsibilities as the Analytical Chemist:

  • Routine use of High-Performace Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Gas Chromatography (GC), and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) equipment for the testing and quantification of yields.
  • Ensure sample preparations are carried out effectively following written standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Research and devise experimental planning for the appropriate analysis of a range of products and to quantify their chemical properties using Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry based techniques.
  • Ensure all analytical equipment is appropriately maintained, calibrated, and records maintained in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

The successful Analytical Chemist candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry or Chemical engineering. Other STEM subjects may be considered.
  • Extensive experience working in a laboratory.
  • Previous involvement in research & development and production environments.
  • Knowledge of GMP and ISO Standards
