What you can add:
·
Prepare deceased for post-mortem and assist
pathologists using specialised skills during the examination as directed, and
use appropriate suturing and alternative techniques following post mortem
· Provide autopsy and specialist neuropathology autopsy services.
· Provide a caring and empathetic environment for bereaved relatives, to provide bereavement support to families of the deceased, with collaboration from trust bereavement team
· Ensure correct, safe use of all departmental equipment and instruments, including maintenance, fault finding and rectification
What you’ll need:
·
RSPH Level 3
Diploma in Healthcare Science (APT)
·
Post-Mortem/Hospital
experience or equivalent
·
Previous experience of working with the bereaved
·
Attaining a trainee
APT post in an NHS or Public Mortuary
·
Must be a qualified APT
