Page Personnel is exclusively supporting a highly reputable business based in Poole, who is looking for an AP & Billings Manager to join their accountancy team on a 9-12 month interim contract. This role is ideal for someone with really strong transactional finance experience and previously line managed/supervised team members. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a pivotal part in the day to day transactional side of the finance function.

Our client, based in Poole, has gone through an extremely exciting period of growth and the customer base has grown dramatically. They need support in their finance function to deal with the additional work. The offices boat free on site parking for the 2 days where you are required to attend.

Description

As the AP & Billings Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure purchase orders are placed and customer invoices are raised
  • Ensure accurate recording of invoices and expenses
  • Ensure a tidy payables ledger with minimum debit balance and unallocated cash
  • Step in and support during particularly busy periods
  • Train team members
  • Prepare and process payment runs
  • Daily posting and reconciliation of bank transactions
  • Cashflow forecasting - to be reviewed with the CFO
  • Liaise with other areas of the business to discuss cash in/cash out/outstanding balances
  • Any other adhoc work

Profile

In order to be considered for the AP & Billings Manager role, you must:

  • Have previously worked in a similar position and be able to demonstrate this
  • Ideally have line managed and demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Strong accounting software skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Eye for detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Be able to prioritise
