Applications Engineer - Rocester, Staffordshire - £40,000 to £45,000 - 10% Bonus - Flexible Working Options - Plus Pension and Benefits

Melbreck Technical are working with a leading a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist equipment and machinery based in Rocester, Staffordshire.

They pride themselves on their innovative history stemming and have created a culture based on understanding, co-operation, partnership and diversity.

As they continue to invest in new products, they have identified a need to strengthen their technical team and grow this function, as it is seen as a critical resource in their growth plans. As such they are looking to hire an Applications Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis ASAP.

Applications Engineer - Overview:

The Application Engineer works directly with research engineering teams to develop system solutions. This covers activities for New Product Development, VA/VE and Sustaining Engineering Projects and production issue investigation and support.

Applications Engineer - Role Responsibilities:

Act as a technical interface on all platform applications.

Develop specifications.

Develop, test, release and support applicable Product Application Code.

Assist in vehicle integration and system testing

Be responsible for Application Code development budgetary cost estimates.

Manage Project scope changes.

Support Project communications.

Applications Engineer - Job Holder Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering or a Technologist Diploma is preferred, however consideration will be given to candidates who possess a combination of relevant education and experience.

Proficiency in several of the following software development tools is required:

C / C++ / C# Code

Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow

Codesys

IQAN, VMM or equivalent 'OEM proprietary’ software development tools

Linux Application development

Display GUI development tools (QT designer, Java, Crank Storyboard, etc.)

Vector CANalyser / CANoe

Basic familiarity with the following Industry Standards is required:

Safety Standards (ISO 13849 / IEC 61508 / ISO 26262)

CAN communications (SAE J1939, ISO 11783)

Environmental test specifications (ISO 7637, ISO 13766, SAE J1455, EN 60068,
