Applications Scientist

A specialist in providing separation support to customers across pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and analytical testing, our client pride themselves in optimising workflows whilst delivering a first-rate customer service experience.

Seeking an accomplished Analytical Chemist to join their team near Cardiff, you will provide support to the sales team across the EU, holding responsibility for developing and troubleshooting robust analytical methods as well as offering advice and recommendations of products and workflow to customers across the region. In this customer-facing role, you will build relationships and rapport, providing training on a variety of sample preparation techniques and automated systems, as well as performing product demonstrations online or in-person.

In this multi-faceted role, you will combine both your analytical expertise and exemplary communication skills in an engaging and varied position. You will also be given the opportunity to travel occasionally across Europe (approximately 5 times per year), sometimes at short notice.

To be considered you must have:

• At least 2 years’ experience using LC-MS and/or GC-MS from an industry/hospital laboratory or a PhD
• Strong sample preparation experience including SPE and/or liquid-liquid extractions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
