Apprentice Materials Technician

Apprentice Materials Technician - Required for our client to join them in their office in Ipswich. The company that the Apprentice Materials Technician will be working for are one of the UK's largest independent surfacing contractors, delivering projects nationwide for clients throughout the UK and working across a wide range of sectors.

The Apprentice Materials Technician will work within the growing technical department and will benefit from working within a supportive learning environment ensuring their personal development and opportunity to progress.

The successful candidate will support the dynamic technician team by testing, analysing and reporting on material testing for various products and services.

• Salary: Up to £35k

• Support the analysis of test data and take corrective action to prevent non-conforming products.
• Support quality control processes by conducting regular inspections of materials and finished products.
• Assist in conducting tests on materials to determine their properties, such as tensile strength, hardness, ductility, and other relevant characteristics.
• Assist in planning and organizing workloads to ensure effective use of time.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations based on test results.
• Prepare samples for testing using various techniques and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of all tests and experiments.
• Liaise with clients when arranging and carrying out work, ensuring full regard for their needs.
• Regularly attend college and fully complete all course assignments to achieve the chosen qualification.
