Purpose of the role

As an Apprentice Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in project management while supporting the successful delivery of various projects. Under the guidance of the Head of Operations – Data and Systems, you will gain hands-on experience in planning, executing, and closing projects. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in project management and who is passionate about learning and growing within the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Track project progress and update project status reports.
  • Assist in analysing data to support informed decision-making and effective project outcomes.
  • Assist in identifying potential project related risks and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing a diverse portfolio of projects, including both technology and non-technology related initiatives, to gain comprehensive project management experience.
  • Contribute ideas for improvements to systems and processes across the organisation, supporting overall efficiency and effectiveness
  • Meet regularly with board members and the executive team to track assigned actions and follow up on outstanding tasks to ensure timely completion
  • Engage in training and development activities to build organisational, systems, data analysis and project management knowledge and skills.
