Description


Leading UK fencing contractor is looking to recruit an Apprentice Steel Fabricator. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to undertake a crucial role within our fast-growing & progressive business. This is a rewarding and progressive role suited to an energised and motivated individual.

Key Responsibilities


  • Cutting, grinding, painting and shaping steel
  • Understanding Fabrication drawings, standard fencing specifications and fabrication methods
  • General checks to Machinery, along with basic maintenance and safety checks
  • Forklift operations (if qualified), loading and unloading lorries
  • Fabricating, making alterations and repairing various items
  • Working in a safe manner adhering to company guidelines
  • Keeping fabrication unit clean, safe and tidy
  • Attending training courses as required


Experience and Qualifications


Necessary:
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Ability to use tools and equipment
  • Receive and handle fabrication and fencing materials
  • Be able to maintain working relationships
Desired:
  • Ability to weld
  • Full Driving License
  • Forklift operator’s card
