Architectural Technician

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £27-£35,000

A respected multidisciplinary design practice is on the lookout for a skilled Architectural Technician to become part of its vibrant Sheffield-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a broad spectrum of projects across key sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and education.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing precise technical drawings, construction details, and specifications
  • Collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and engineers to resolve design challenges
  • Applying a solid understanding of UK Building Regulations to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Supporting the coordination of project information using BIM workflows
  • Communicating effectively with clients, contractors, and local authorities throughout the process

Requirements for the role of Architectural Technician:

  • A qualification in Architectural Technology (degree, HNC or HND)
  • Strong proficiency in both AutoCAD and Revit
  • A thorough understanding of current UK Building Regulations and construction standards
  • Previous experience contributing to projects at RIBA Stages 3-5
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a well-organised approach to managing workload
