The Role: Area Business Manager

Sales area: Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire and South Wales

This is a challenging and exciting role within a high performing UK sales team where you will use your consultative sales skills to manage all aspects of the company’s business relationship with an established network of dealers.

Key Responsibilities Will Include:

  • A home-based role requiring travel throughout your sales area.
  • Autonomously manage your time to achieve maximum commercial impact
  • Visit customers to understand and support their business objectives
  • Negotiate and agree annual joint business plans with all dealers
  • Implement company sales strategies within your region
  • Achieve sales turnover and margin objectives
  • Coordinate product training and demonstration teams
  • Work within the national sales team to share best practice

The Person For This Area Business Manager Role:

  • A home location in the South West or South Wales
  • Previous experience of field sales and account management
  • Experience of seasonal selling or outdoor/ garden products is an advantage
  • A natural enthusiasm for the outdoors, garden care or outdoor powered equipment
  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills
  • An intuitive people-person with high emotional intelligence
  • Commercially astute, numerate with appreciation for pricing, costs and profitability
  • A relationship builder with strong time management skills
  • Computer literate

Reward Package:

  • The successful candidate will receive a negotiable basic salary and an opportunity of up to 40% of salary as a bonus.
  • You will also receive a fully expensed company car, fuel card, company credit card, 25 days holiday, life assurance, healthcare and attractive pension plan, mobile and laptop.
