Hours: The role is 40 hours per week, 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, hybrid working between home and the office in the West Midlands. As a customer facing role you will be required to travel across the Midlands visiting customers.

The Role:

• Be part of the Team who will make us the No.1 seller of key industrial packaging products.

• Be responsible for winning new business and growing and building long-term, strategic partnerships with existing business in the Midlands.

• Celebrate successes in winning business and Sales conversions.

• Provide a World Class Experience, from receipt of purchase order to delivery of product or service.

• Proactively identify and win new business opportunities across the Midlands.

• Grow and create new revenue opportunities by understanding the product offering and how it relates to each customer’s needs.

• To manage existing and develop new business in the Midlands.

• To monitor customer performance daily and deal with queries which may result in a loss of business or to gain new business.

• To understand and actively engage in their Company culture including their Purpose & Values schedule including weekly huddles, High Performance Plans and Company workshops.

• To contribute to the internal sales strategies and GOALS meeting alongside fellow colleagues.

• Successfully deliver pricing and margin enhancement strategies.

• Confidentially promote and cross-sell additional products & services.

• To achieve monthly sales and gross margin targets as set by the Company, and monitor them on an ongoing quarterly basis.

• To interact and communicate regularly with the sales office and to support the internal sales account managers.

• To ensure your relevant Company paperwork including call reports, outlook call plans, quotations, working platforms are recorded accurately and by the agreed time as set out by the Company.

• Collaborate with the Marketing & Procurement Teams to identify and grow future business opportunities

Requirements:

• Have previous experience in a Business to Business Area Sales role with a proven track record of winning and developing business.

• Have previous experience selling packaging products to industry.

• Develop strong business relationships, satisfying Customer and Market needs to maximise each and every sale opportunity.

• Be able to work independently and convert Sales Opportunities to existing and new customers.

• Be required to be numerate and have demonstrate the ability to be confident in pitching and negotiating, to ensure margins and opportunities are maximized.

• Look to raise the company profile, by selling their Brand Promises as well as their Products & Services.

• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills; Confident in Pitching, Negotiating and Converting.

• Be confident in reviewing and analysing contract performance with Customers, recommending & initiating improvement plans where appropriate and SLA’s where required.

• Maintain and develop new and existing customer relationships whilst identifying opportunities to cross sell.

• Demonstrate the skills to manage time to balance reactive and proactive sales.

• Demonstrate a commitment to developing you own knowledge and abilities.

• Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
