Location: Hounslow

Type: Full-Time (Temporary with Permanent option)

Working Hours; 08:30 am - 16:30 pm.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher who is committed to promoting student development and providing exceptional support for students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to express their creativity and develop their artistic skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Position Overview: Seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Special Needs Teacher to join the team starting in September 2024. This position is temporary, ending at the conclusion of the current academic year, with the potential for permanent contract based on performance and organisational needs by December 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive art curriculum that caters to students of varying abilities and interests.
  • Instruction: Teach a range of art techniques and media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity and respect for all students.
  • Student Assessment: Evaluate student performance through projects, assignments, and exams, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Organize and supervise art clubs, workshops, and school exhibitions.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in art education, incorporating new ideas and techniques into the curriculum.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to integrate art into the broader school curriculum and participate in school-wide activities and event.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field. Teaching certification preferred.
  • Experience: Previous teaching experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of art techniques and media, excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Personal Attributes: Creative, patient, enthusiastic, and committed to fostering a love for art in students.
