Art Teacher

Location: Braintree

Contract Type:Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum

Start Date: September 2024

Role Overview:

As an Art Teacher you will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating art lessons to students across various year groups. You will inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, and support students in developing their artistic skills and appreciation for the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver a dynamic art curriculum that stimulates students' creativity and artistic skills.
- Teach a range of art techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for art and encourages self-expression.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic development.
- Organise and prepare materials and resources for art projects and lessons.
- Display student artwork in the classroom and throughout the school to celebrate their achievements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art into the broader school curriculum.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and achievements in art.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on art education trends and techniques.

Key Requirements Of An Art Teacher:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Art or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Art Teacher, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques and mediums.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for art and a commitment to fostering a creative learning environment.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
