Our market leading client is looking for someone with the ability to read engineering drawings, previous fitting experience ideally in an Aerospace/Automotive environment, experience and understanding of working to specifications and procedures and awareness of COSHH are essential requirements of this role.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Must have completed a full engineering apprenticeship level 3.
  • Ability to follow and understand technical drawings, specs, procedures, Test instructions.
  • Work to 5's standards and apply continuous improvement principles to determine best practices.
  • Completion of relevant documentation
  • FOD Compliance
  • Assembly and completion of associated production acceptance testing.
  • Must be prepared at times to design / make tooling.
  • You will need to perform Turning and grinding as part of this fitters role.

Salary and Hours

  • £33,483 - £37,839 plus 38.50% shift allowance for nights
  • 4 week rotating shift pattern between days and nights
  • Days: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4pm, Friday 7am - 12:30pm
  • Nights: Monday - Wednesday 9:45pm - 7:30am, Thursday 9:45pm - 6:50am
  • There may also be availability to work afternoons and weekends which will attract shift allowances of 40% and 59% respectively.
